MacMasters Beach is home to a diverse range of wildlife, which plays a vital role in our local ecosystem and brings joy to all who live here and visit. The Progress Association is deeply committed to preserving this unique natural heritage and so supports the Bouddi Wildlife Fund.
However, our local wildlife faces significant threats from habitat destruction, domestic pets, motor vehicle collisions, and human interference. There are simple actions you can take to help protect these creatures:
We are fortunate to have a licensed rehabilitation facility right here in MacMasters Beach, staffed by a dedicated team of trained, registered wildlife rehabilitators. They provide essential care to injured, sick, and orphaned wildlife.
The Bouddi Wildlife Fund was established by the Progress Association to provide financial support for local wildlife rescue and rehabilitation efforts. Donations help fund:

- Avoid using snail and rat baits
- Slow down on the roads, particularly between dusk and dawn
