Community survey - Road Safety - The Scenic Rd
The Association has established a Road Safety Committee to address the long-term issues of road safety in MacMasters Beach.
The committee’s mission is;
Through engagement with the community, determine the road safety issues in MacMasters Beach, and engage with Council and other relevant authorities to address and mitigate the community’s road safety concerns.
While there are many aspects of road safety throughout our community, the initial focus will be on The Scenic Rd – the road used by all residents and visitors.
The committee needs to inform itself on all the safety issues and identify some possible solutions. Critically, we need to determine the Community’s appetite for the changes to road infrastructure that may be needed to implement acceptable solutions.
So, in keeping with the Mission, we are undertaking a community survey. The results will frame our next steps of determining a list of issues and priorities and engaging with our Ward Councillors seeking their input and support. Then we can start the process of working with Council management to agree a list of priorities, budgets and timelines, all of which will be informed by our community’s level of support.
The confidential survey is EIGHT questions, and will take 5-10 minutes to complete, depending on the level of “write-in” responses you make.
Currently, the Association has no views of what the best solutions may be – these views will be determined based on the level of community concern and support.
